PHASE TWO, WEEK ONE

Kale has been on phase two remedies for 6 days now.  I started with only the emotional supports.  There are 4 that are supporting him through this phase of the protocol.  He has 3 drainers that will work to continue to open up the pathways so the toxins can release from his organs and get OUT of his body.
I started with one drainer last night, that targets his kidneys.  I only put two drops of the remedy on his wrists.  He also started a new supplement that will help him to sleep better (hoping!!).  He slept 8 hours and woke up fine.  By 7:15 am he was hitting himself (no hitting throughout the entire weekend on only the emotional supports), hitting me and then crying a cry that I have never heard before.  I picked him up to stop the hitting, held him tight and he held me tighter.  He actually clung to me for minutes on end as he sobbed.  It was horrifying as a mom because I know he was scared of how he was feeling, he had never cried that hard before and has never clung to me that hard or long before.  Mary had said that this specific remedy could bring on fear.  As his body awakens and the toxins come out, my son could experience fear.  To my knowledge, he has never experienced this emotion before...not that I could ever tell.  He could not get on the bus this morning.  He requested a bath but we had to get Jaden to school.  So, we dropped J off at school and returned home.  I called my dad and he jumped in his truck to come over and help.  Kale LOVES his papa.  Actually, he is a bit obsessed with his PAPA.  PAPA can do no wrong in Kale's eyes.  He actually makes everything a bit better....Kale took a bath and when he got out, PAPA was here!  Kale laid in bed with PAPA and calmed down.  PAPA spent a few hours with Kale.  Grama came over after work to check on him as well.  This child is so loved and supported by sooooo many!  We are so fortunate.....we could not do it without them!  Nope.....not ever!!  Grama also laid with him for awhile, staring at his big brown eyes all the while.....worrying.  Worrying if we are doing the right thing but knowing that we are.  Focusing on what the next 10 months may bring us, hoping for what the next 10 months will bring us.  We are seeing little things already.  We have all experienced different looks from Kale...like he is really seeing us.  He is noticing details that he had not paid any attention to before.  He says "bye" to his caring bus driver and monitor (our beloved Ms. Beth!!) without being prompted for the first time.

This afternoon, I gave him his emotional support remedies, burbur to support his emotional instability, and two more drops on his wrist of the kidney detox (at 6:30 pm)....along with his George's Aloe Vera Juice.  By 8:30 pm, Kale had a bath and red dots were already noticeable on his cheeks and his nose.  Not again.....detox is happening so fast.  TWO little dots of liquid could produce a reaction this quickly.  I gave him his new sleep supp (just half a capsule) and he was out by 8:45 pm.  Detoxing burns energy all day long!  So, he is exhausted much of the day.  He was so tired tonight, his little body couldn't stay up a minute longer.  I have been watching him very closely.  We have had many moments of clarity, he and I.  He is seeking me out more throughout the day to just give me a hug.  These moments are getting me through the hard moments.  It is hard to put my son through this detox process.  It is hard to put myself through this process!  BUT I know that this is the right journey for us right now.  And that was just week one of phase two.....

VERBAL STIMMING

OH MY!!!  Still on phase one remedies....and Kale is a verbal stimming machine!  OH MY GOODNESS!  He was up at 2am, verbal stimming like a maniac...ALL NIGHT LONG!  It was so loud it was almost a scream.  The stimming has continued today as well.

5 of the Phase 2 remedies arrived today.  We will be starting a few of the support remedies, the non-drainers.  Once the drainers arrive, we will be adding one in per day to see how he handles them.

Hoping for a quiet nights sleep!  :)

IEP Meeting and progress update

Today, I had Kale's annual IEP meeting.  The reports were good.  He is making progress with eye contact, receptive language, keyboarding and writing, personal information, sensory regulation, PE activities, etc.  He is able to eat lunch in the very loud and crazy cafeteria just fine, he follows multi step directions in the educational environment, he is progressing.  He handles changes in his day without meltdowns, he is working with different aides throughout the day versus his 1:1 and handles the transitions pretty well considering he absolutely adores his 1:1.  He is regulating his body when he needs to (sensory wise).  His goals were all changed to focus on the holes in his development.  The goal is to fill those holes and build upon learned skills.   This was all awesome to hear.  :)  His team reported that the last two weeks have been pretty good...different they said.  They said HE is different (in a good way)and that yesterday was an absolutely FABULOUS day all around.  He had two speech sessions yesterday, 30 minutes each and he was a rock star for both!  :)

What kind of progress am I seeing on this homotoxicology protocol?  I see increased eye contact, moments of pure clarity where he looks at me or someone else with those gigantic brown eyes as if he were seeing us in a different way, more compliant, laughing at appropriate situations that should be laughed at.  He is also writing his phone number when asked what is your phone number?  He is also attempting to write more.  His verbal approximations are clearer and he is able to produce better sounds.

Do I think this protocol is making a difference?  ABSOLUTELY.  The emotional fall out is minute to minute still but when he is ON....he is ON and I am sucking up every bit of awesomeness that is coming from him!  Mary Coyle believes he will get better on this protocol....the toxins will detox, they will leave his body and he will be a healthier kid...there will be LESS of AUTISM and MORE of KALE.  Oh am I praying.....

WEEK NINE???

OMG!  SOOOO much going on and so little time to post.  Let's get caught up here!  OK, we had our 2nd call with Mary Coyle finally!!  Our second round of samples finally arrived and after Hurricane Sandy ripped through New York Mary's office was not fully functioning...but we got the phone call in this past Monday.  Initially, she wanted to know how Kale was doing on the first round of remedies.  Now I have been emailing back and forth with her every time he had a negative reaction (red bumps on his face, aggression increasing, etc.) so she had been up to speed on almost everything.  She asked how he was eating (a lot and often) and she explained that as the kids detox, they burn calories.  This makes their blood sugar drop and they in turn are hungry more frequently.  That makes sense considering Kale requests food all of the time!
She asked about his sleeping (ummmm....Kale doesn't sleep much, often is a nighttime waker and hardly ever enters the REM stage of uninterrupted sleep), so she has recommended a supplement to add to his nighttime routine in addition to the 5 mg of Melatonin he has been on forever.
She asked about his aggression (bad bad bad aggression for awhile but has been better the last two weeks).  We chatted for awhile and then she hung up with me to go run his samples in her super awesome machine.
20 minutes later....phone rings and it's Mary!  I jumped to get the phone and answered with excitement to obtain the results of his hair and saliva samples!  Did the remedies work?  Were the toxins beginning to come out?  Was he responding to this new protocol we have put him on?  All answers were a BIG FAT YES!!!!
Mary said, good news!!  He is a great responder!  His detox pathways are opening up, his toxic levels are going down and I am happy with what I am seeing!!  SAWEEEEETTTTT!!!!!

Mary explained that his adrenals and kidneys were still stressed (high load of toxins) so we will focus on opening up the pathways to his kidneys this round of remedies.  His skin, liver, endocrine, lymphatic, central nervous system and spleen are all opening up nicely.  He is not fully ready for the intracellular round of detox (that will happen in phase 3 in another 6 weeks) so she is going to detox at the intermediary level for this round.  Because Kale is 9 years old (considered "older" in the recovery process) he has a lot of toxins to get out and we don't want to move to fast with the detox process because it will be hell on him and on me.

She then went on to explain all of the remedies she was suggesting we put him on for this phase.  There are many....but in this batch we will have a remedy for calming, a remedy for anti-stress and a remedy for emotional support.  All of which will assist in the process as his body goes through detox this round.  Now, we wait for the little bottles of remedies (hope) to arrive in the mail from New York and we will start phase two ASAP.  My excitement is over the moon.  I KNOW this is the path we have to travel in order for Kale to get healthy, in order to give him the best chance at the life he is suppose to lead.  I am thrilled to have found Mary and feel so blessed to be a part of this journey.

I will post the remedies we are going to be on once I receive them.  Please continue to pray for my son as we enter phase TWO!  :)

WEEKS FOUR, FIVE AND SIX

Well, I have been crazy with work so I have not had an extra moment to post.  We have just completed week six of the first round.  Kale has been up and down with his moods lately.  But let's backtrack a bit.....
Week four and five were a bit uneventful.  His aggression had died down due to the decrease in remedies we were giving him.  We had started back up with 4 drops of each remedy and then increased it to five drops of each.  The red bumps he was getting on his face had stayed away during these weeks with this dosage.  No real gains yet....but we weren't expecting any during this initial stage.

Week six, aggression is back and red bumps are back on his face.  We have all been sick this past week and he started coughing this weekend as well.  Kale is never good when he is sick because he does not understand why he feels that way.  He did go on a field trip with school to the pumpkin farm last Friday and did great.  There have been several moments in this past week where he looks me straight in the eyes and tries to say something.  He manages to get some sounds out but I cannot make out what he is saying.  He also said HELLO clear as day Friday morning.  That was pretty cool.  :)

I have a phone consult with Mary tomorrow to discuss his hair and cheek samples and how we will move forward with the first round of detox.  The samples will tell us if his organs are ready for this first phase...if his pathways have cleared enough to begin this long process.  I pray for strength to get me through this next year of detox.  It is difficult to watch my son go backwards into Autism again but I know it is for the best.  I pray these toxins will find their way out of my son so he can begin to heal.  I pray the backlash of the toxins coming out is not too EXTREME although I know better.......I can still have wishful thinking, right?

Stay tuned for tomorrows post after my conversation with Mary.

WEEK THREE COMPLETE!

Week three is down!  Three more to go in this initial stage!  Kale continues to be tired throughout the day....even when he sleeps 7 or 8 hours at night.  He slept 3 hours at school again today!  UGH!  Good thing he gets therapy at home to make up for the instructional time he misses when he sleeps at school!  He has a sty on his right eye.  It appeared last week on the top of his eyelid.  That one is gone and now there is another on his bottom eye lid.  He also has 2 small red bumps on his nose.  I will have to ask mary about these.
He has been on the B Vitamins she included with his protocol for the past 3 days.  He takes them with no problems.  : ) Phew!  Thank God for easy liquid vitamins and remedies!  We have had NO problems getting everything in him!

He has done well with therapy so far this week.  Today was his 3rd day in a row of therapy at home after school.  He worked well all week, even though he is very tired!  His verbal approximations have decreased since the new protocol started, we are all in agreement of this!  We knew to expect regression so that's ok for now.  I am not panicking yet!!

Ok, off to bed.  Going to the Temple Grandin conference tomorrow!!

WEEKEND

Kale had a great weekend.  His independence continues to grow and we are so glad this has not been effected by the introduction of the new protocol.  He continues to brush his teeth independently which is a HUGE accomplishment for him.  He was in good spirits all weekend but still seems to be more tired overall.  His sleep is effected and unregulated but that's not out of the 'norm' for Kale.  One month to go until we enter the DETOX stage.  We can't wait!!  :)

WEEK TWO IS DONE!!!

Well, we have made it through week two and we are definitely seeing some changes.....unfortunately we are going backwards at the moment (which was expected).  His sleep schedule is completely messed up again as it use to be.  He is showing less awareness, decreased eye contact and he has been showing aggression again.  He has hit his therapists all week.  :(  This is the part I HATE!!!  He has also had "sad crying" episodes that started on Monday.  He gets very sad and cries...not always for an obvious reason.  Today, he is functioning on 6 hours of sleep last night with only a 30 minute nap at school.  He made it through his school day and 2 hours of therapy after school but he is one tired boy.
We are still on the 6 remedies.  I will introduce the other two on Friday I think due to a crazy work schedule for myself this week.  I will be incorporating his yeast protocol every day from now on to try to help with some of the die off symptoms we are seeing.  His appetite seems to have increased at times...others he doesn't eat much.  He uses food more as an avoidance to getting out of his work or therapy activities.  Thank God his team at school and at home understand why we are doing this new protocol and are on board for this up and down ride we are going to experience through detox.  Hopefully, this mama can make it through the next 11 1/2 months on little to no sleep and 4 jobs!  Yikes!!

Four weeks to go until detox begins!  :)

WEEK ONE IS DONE!!!

Whoo hoo!!!  We made it through week one of our new protocol!!  The remedies are already affecting Kale.  He is tired.....all the time.  Even on the nights he has slept 8-9 hours, he is tired during the day.  He is making it through his day and through his therapy sessions ok.  He has been very lovey all week long.  This is not out of the ordinary for Kale....and I will take every little bit of his cuddling and kisses!  :)

Tonight, I introduced two more remedies.  This will put us at 6 out of 8.

The first remedy is called Drainage Tone,

http://www.goenergetix.com/drainage-tone/

The second remedy is called ReHydration,

The remaining 2 will be introduced on Sunday.  Then our new protocol will be complete!  :)

YEAST, WE HAVE YEAST!!

And we have a flareup already......hyenna like hysterical laughter and sleep schedule is all out of whack already!  Kale slept about 3 hours last night which resulted in him sleeping the day away at school today.  He was perky all night tonight....to the normal eye.  However, Kale's perky hyenna laugh appeared and I say......OH NO when I hear that laugh!  It means the yeast beast is back.  Yep, I called it a beast because that's what it is!  Yeast has always been our enemy in this house when it comes to Kale.  We were prepared for this flareup because Mary had warned me that with this protocol (like everything else we have done), it stirs up the yeast!!!  The good news???  He has pooped EVERY night since we started the protocol and is drinking a lot of propel....both of which are good because we need those elimination pathways working at 150%.

On a bright note.....literally....I got a note from Kale's aide today that said he requested  a hotdog and cracker today, verbally, clear as day.  He also said papa tonight clear as day.  So....that's our good news of the day!  We are still only on the 4 remedies so far but Kale is continuing to drink them with no issues!

Pray for sleep tonight......I am old and I am tired!!  xo

SEGMENT A CONTINUED.....

Kale has received 5 doses of the first two remedies introduced and so far so good.....
He did not sleep well last night but I cannot say with 100% accuracy that his sleep was affected by the remedies.  This child has never had a normal sleep schedule so we will not blame it on the remedies just yet....

This morning, I have introduced 2 more remedies.  The first is Hypothalmapath.

http://www.healthegoods.com/hypothalmapath-2-ounce-energetix.html

and Fields of Flowers.

Four have been introduced, 4 more to go this week.  As of next Monday, I am hoping to have introduced all of the remedies and we will then have another 5 weeks within segment A.  We are anticipating he will handle all 8 remedies in this segment pretty well before we hit segment B when detox starts.  My entries will get more interesting at that time as his body is going through detox.

Happy Sunday!!

FOOD ALLERGIES

Mary and I discussed Kale's current food allergies and she said we will address that topic a few months along the way.  (She didn't want to overwhelm me with the diet changes we are going to have to implement for Kale).  However, she did mention that many kids with Autism, like Kale, have an allergy to Malvin.  I said, what is Malvin?  OH LORDY......Malvin is IN most of the foods that Kale eats!!!  GOD NO!!!!  Too late Mary....I am already freaking out about the diet changes.  Take a look at this list....

Segment A

A.)  Our first 6 week segment started today!!  Kale's remedies arrived today...  He will be on a total of 7 remedies for the next 6 weeks, all of which are part of his new protocol.  The goal of this first 6 weeks is to open up Kale's pathways and get him ready for intracellular detox.  We are triggering his liver, kidneys, thyroid, etc. and making sure his pathways are open and ready to transfer those toxins OUT of his body.  These toxins have been building over the years, inhibiting him from learning new skills, making eye contact, verbally communicating, eating a variety of foods, having friendships with kids his age, and so on and so on.....

In Homotoxicology, there is a chart...

http://www.naturalworldhealing.com/philosophyofhealth/homotoxicologytable.htm

The good news is that Kale is in the Inflammation stage VS. the Degeneration stage (where many children his age with Autism already are).  This means all of the protocols we have been doing for the past 7 years have helped him (dietary interventions, biomedical interventions and classical homeopathy)!!!  Thank you GOD for the affirmation of our hard work!  BUT the hardest work is yet to come.....

Detox will take 6-12 months for Kale, maybe longer.  We won't know until his body starts to react to the remedies.  The other good news......kids are RECOVERING from Autism on this protocol!!  Many of you know that we have always considered Kale's speech APRAXIA to be our nemesis, not the Autism.  We are determined to defeat both with this protocol!  OR we will give 149% trying!!

Today, I received 7 new remedies in the mail.  I started with 2 of them tonight.  The OTHER good news about homotoxicology......many of the remedies are a liquid and are dispensed via a small dropper.  This is HUGE for us as getting Kale to take supplements has been a battle since day 1 of biomedical treatments!!  I dispensed the two remedies into his water tonight and he drank them right up!  AWESOME!!!

The two remedies I started with tonight are Isopathic Phenolic Rings and Spectramin. If you click on the links below, you can read up on what these 2 remedies will do to assist Kale.

I need to make a disclaimer.....I am in no way telling anyone via this blog that this should be the treatment path for themselves or for their child.  I am also telling you to consult a Homeopathy practicioner before attempting to give  remedies.  We have been practicing homeopathy in our family for two years now under the guidance of a homeopath.  We are now working with Mary who assists us with this new protocol.   This blog is solely a way for me to document this journey for our family and friends who want to understand and stay informed as to our progress.  This blog also helps me to keep everything straight as my son continues to progress.

I will introduce the other 5 slowly over the next 2 weeks.
HOMOTOXICOLOGY- What is it?  and what are you doing to your son?  Click on the link for a background explanation of homotoxicology, a form of homeopathy.

Hello everyone,

I am starting a new blog that will be all about our newest journey.....Homotoxicology.  I want to document all of the ups and downs of this new adventure we are beginning for Kale towards his recovery from Autism and Apraxia.
I had a phone consult with Mary Coyle in New York on September 4th, 2012.  The phone call was almost 2 hours long.  She explained the principles of Homotoxicology, tested his samples and suggested which remedies should be included in our new protocol.  Mary gave us hope but she also let us know that this road is going to be LONG and UP and DOWN as Kale goes through detox of heavy metals, antibiotics, viruses left by vaccines, and every other environmental toxin that is going to come out.  I will have a phone consult with Mary every 6 weeks so I am going to label each 6 week segment with letters, starting our first 6 week segment as blog A.  The first 6 week segment started today!!  Here we go........
